The Old Rocking Chair How many times Have you calmed A baby's cry How many times Have you rocked Back and forth To the beat Of an anxious persons Distressful sighs How many times Has your seat been washed By salty tears Rocking chair How many lives Have you touched All through your years? |

Songbird, I loved this poem. I used to have a rocker like that, but it went by the way side. I wonder if it still remembers all the tears shed while I sat and rocked. I wonder.... ME |

Rocking chairs are great and will never go away, along with all the stories that go with them. Bernie ![]() A smile a day keeps the world in smile's. |
