standing on a shadow's lace

I Shall Guard You

I shall guard you
as you slumber
watch you dream
in awe of wonder
as shadows dance
in moon lit air
such a splendor
to be there
to chase away
every fear
in the comfort
to have you near
catch your nightmares
take them away
by your side
is where I stay
beautiful dreams
do come true
sleep on while I
stand guard for you
