"Full Moon"

I hear the sounds
of lofe surround me

The full moon
speeds behind me
with all the vigor
of a small child
vainly chasing their parent
afraid of being
left behind

Its odd
how it chases me
as if i knew my destination

While in reality
i just wonder
the same old paths
we used to tread
as if it would
somehow
bring you home
and make the sorrow end

But like the full moon
i move
vainly following
my hopes and dreams
because they are
all i have left
without you hear

because i'm of
being left behind

It's too bad I'm not as wonderful a person as people say I am, because the world could use a few people like that.
