in the pouring rain

peer into a piece of glass
hair sloppy
eyes tired with mascara
runnin down my face

yet you smile
when you see my face
no matter how i look
you see the pretty girl

pulled out by my features
sweet smile and laugh
my looks are passed up
by the eyes i love

you see the girl inside
that is always smiling
even when tears flow
down the skin that is sweet

the image in the mirror
i try to perfect
to a certain extent
i want to be pretty

i know to you
shall always i be
a pretty face
with a laugh

and a smile
that no one can resist
to smile back to
so true
