In The Stars In morning twilight, I stretch a numbed arm that cradled your head to my chest. Stirring, you kiss me and ask me to stay, but we both know that wouldn’t be best. The baby awakes, I bring her to you; and O! how we wish she was ours. My childhood friend, my adult affair, our marriage was not in the stars. Excellent imagery Topheth...but, oh so sad. May I please have a kleenex? Beautiful tender write my friend. Nancy. ~I've loved you forever, in lifetimes before~ |
