When the day left
I had no expectations
Pray only pray
my mother always said
Sinking in the sea of love
I swallowed water
I struggled to breathe
I panicked
and crashed
into your shore
Where you waited
with open arms
to drop me back
in the middle
of the sea
knowing my limitations.
