The beauty of watching a cat. She slinks along the ground. Slow, cautious, sleek. She tenses with feral instinct, her back arched and poised, the fine hairs of her body on end. I catch the dim reflection of light in her eyes. Nervous beads of sweat form on my forehead, my heart flutters before she pounces. For I am her prey. |
