I would hold you close forever
If I thought It'd make you smile
But I just don't think you want me
To try and make it worth while
So I spare us the confusion
And I spare my heart the aching
Its so hard to take away the thoughts
That I'm yours for the taking
Things are never really easy
Though I try to keep them sane
I'll be outside if you need me
I'll be laughing at the rain
