How Dare You How dare you look down at me. Smiling through your fake smile. Treating me as if I don’t know The difference between right and wrong As if I don’t know my way. How dare you treat me as if I am low and beneath you As if I have no common sense As if I’m some sort of stupid child Who doesn’t know better. How dare you smile so sweet And then talk behind my back Thinking I don’t know how you are Assuming I don’t see right through Your artificial and corrupted soul. How dare you give me these Phony compliments you hand out When I know words of spite Pass your lips when I’m not here When you think I won’t find out. How dare you take me for granted Laughing and chuckling at things I say What are you going to do the day When I’m not here to pick up your slack? When I’m not here to save your name? How dare you manipulate Taking the credit of things done well Knowing you didn’t do the work Knowing that the ones under you Deserve the praise.. but get none How dare you think that I Will be here forever waiting I wish I could see your face when I’m no longer there for you to use When I’m free from your criticism. How dare you presume I have to stay That I can’t find somewhere better I can find much better than you I will find a place where I can strive And then you will become a bad memory. As if you can't tell.. I've had a BAD day at work. *chuckles* The good news.. I feel better now  lol"My heart is like an open book, for the whole world to read" |

I know this poem well...I have seen it, felt it, done some of it and felt so terrible for what I might have said wrong or hurtful. YOU, and so many others deserve the respect of equality...And I think you have said it so well. thank you...and I too hope your day is much brighter after today.... |

Larry - Thanks for the bump Auther - I never should this to her.. I should have. But I don't have to worry about dealing with her.. she fired me 3 weeks before Christmas..nice huh? And for no reasonable reason.. That makes it even worse.
