Middle Of Your Warmth

in the middle
of your warmth
sometimes
I awake
but I know
you’re beside me
with each breath
that I take
at times you
have floated
away from
my side
but I just
move closer
to be where
my heart resides
i then
tenderly place
my hand
inside of yours
and fall
back to sleep
in the middle
of a warmth
that endures
