Only for the maiden's glance
to grace the bureau of a chanced romance?
give a thought, cut up in hearts
with sincere friendship, why depart?

for the friend that you held in view
for the family that is not too few
give a rose as a special thought
too much trouble to tie a knot?

Give a flower, or boxed chocolates so sweet
too much trouble to appreciate who you meet?
No tough commitment in sharing that thought
a small compensation for what you have sought.
