in the pouring rain

i can still feel your voice
the taste of your breath
death couldn't be prettier
you've painted me over
made me go back to where i was
i've fallen again
the glass tells me no lies
its me in there
somewhere i lay in the depths of time
unable to move
happy to be there
my heart is racing, i can feel the waves
washing over me
again
screams echo off my walls
with each word i shake
you almost broke me
i close my eyes
to get away from this
you find me somehow
when i can't speak
this is when you are happy
as i am here
the water pipes bursting
everywhere
i'll drown alone
in this cold place
that i call my world

no matter what i'll always love you
i swear
