Flowers are quite well written In poems from ages old, by poets who-- love-smitten-- Cast beauty in a mold. By framing floral figures, poets have worn the ways of flowers--colorful demurs roughening the course by day. Now no longer does the poet, Use the flowers- the cliche of the old- as he knows it, its beauty gone away. Yet by the morning sun, if then a poet does see, a rosy cheek-- then none can hide its true beauty. Inside a flower of mine, a place unmarked by wear, where is pure beauty-shine, And this is thee, my Claire. -------------------- Hehe, I wrote this poem for a friend this morning because she was feeling in the blues. I hope it cheered her up. ![]() -Derek |

This is strikingly lovely... and I hope your poet friend cherishes it as it should be... |

Certain to have the effect of the morning rose. Really liked the imagery. ThisDiamond |
