Little Place On Earth Let me share my journey To being a scenic view A drive along the coast By the Indian Ocean blue Where soft white sands Stretches mile after mile View of friendly dolphins Their faces seem to smile I inhale the salty sea air View by the beach cafe Surfers riding the waves Really enjoying their day Later on we drive along Enjoying the scenic view See kookaburra in a tree Then a hopping kangaroo Between city and ocean Here my day finally ends Along the coast to home Glowing sunset descends It’s a clean modern city With sand, sea and surf A state over in the west My little place on earth Hope ©2002 |

Oh Hope this is beautiful and before even checking to see where you are from I knew straight away that this poem was about my beloved Australia. I've never been to Perth (I've heard it is a very beautiful city) but really that kind of scenery could be anywhere in our beautiful country...thanks for sharing, this Aussie girl just loved it, especially the beautiful imagery, well done. ~HUGS~ Tracie~  Love is the life of the soul... |

Hope it sounds absolutely beautiful. I think one could come there for vacation and never leave.......sigh..... well done doll!!  Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal. |

Thank you tracie , yes it is great being able to live close to the sea and wonderful beaches , there are some beautiful parts of Austrlia I have still yet to see , I have lived in Tasmania and had holidays in Queensland , also had a few week-ends in Melbourne Hope |

thanks gentle spirit , this was written as a challenge from another board when asked to describe either state , city or town where we live , Let me say there are places over in the States I would love top visit , I guess the internet makes our parts of the world seem so much closer Hope |
