Dam breaks and I am
drowned in waves of me
On days like these
I let them carry
me where they will
I am wise enough
to know these waters
will calm
and that they flow
to bigger seas
But on days like these
I endulge the undertow
sinking ever deeper
into the vanity
and self pity
of days like these
