Vagabond

Once having lived
On top of the world
Nothing could bring him down
Now all his possession
Wrapped in a nap sack
Carried on a walking stick
To the world he is a Vagabond

Brevity is good.  To make this a little more biting, you might want to consider dropping some of the articles, and see what that does for this.  Enjoyed it, thanks!
