My body never did |

I couldn’t move When I woke up. Eyelids rose, And pupils quickly conformed To a manner accepting sunlight. My body never did. Stomach turned And gnarled at me, I think it wanted to be dead, My heart understood. The pain was still alive, I couldn’t move. Muscles screamed A bloody murder The joints mourned the loss of me. My eyelids rose, My body never did. - And so it was that time stood still - |
