My body never did

I couldn’t move
When I woke up.
Eyelids rose,
And pupils quickly conformed
To a manner accepting sunlight.
My body never did.

Stomach turned
And gnarled at me,
I think it wanted to be dead,
My heart understood.

The pain was still alive,
I couldn’t move.
Muscles screamed
A bloody murder
The joints mourned the loss of me.

My eyelids rose,
My body never did.

- And so it was that time stood still -
(blink, breathe, stand, fight)

OHHHH...I remember mornings (more often evenings, having missed the day) like this.

I wish you well and hope that you were a better person than I ever was.

Sad to hear you know times like this. Don't know about you, but I don't know the cause of mine. I was just there for about ten minutes truly utterly unable to move.. ah dang pain about had me in. Thanks for your reply.
