Restrictions placed around me Walls without weakness Doors with locks holding strong Windows with shutters closed You block the light out But you can’t put a lock on my dreams The whole time you were hiding I knew where you were The whole time you were smiling I knew you were just keeping the tears Somewhere safe away from me But now you know I’d die before I hurt you And now from a distance You’ve started to let me know you I know you don’t trust me But I swear my world to you My dreams are yours too Just please don’t take my soul away Because even in a crowd of a thousand I always know exactly where you are How you’re feeling Why you’re hurting How to change it to make it better If you’d only let me cry for you. |

quote: Thank goodness! What a beautiful, tender, compassionate write! Good to read you again, Rosie. PS, I'll be keeping this one for my library. |

Because even in a crowd of a thousand I always know exactly where you are How you’re feeling Why you’re hurting How to change it to make it better Rosie, I can relate to this part of your poem very much. My Love and I feel that way about each other. He and I have that closeness and bond with each other. ![]() Hugs ![]() Ethel |
