Savior of my heart

Tales of the long forgotton
awaken the fire within me
burning away the dross
of my despair
nudging me toward
love's quiet whisper.

As I enter her arms
I am renewed
pain disapears
like the shackles of a slave
who has been given his freedom.

I run toward the unknown
for love has taken
my fears away.

As I gaze into her eyes
I know that she is
the one
that I was destined to hold
for all eternity.
Love who held
my hand
Now holds our hands
together
as we step into the future
not two souls but one.
