You Take My Breath Away

There are times when you are near,
you take my breath away.

A touch, a glance, mere preludes to
that ancient old romance.

Everytime you are around, everytime
when I think I am going down; just the
sight of you steals my breath and words
away. It's odd, yet, so wonderfully
profound.

There are times I want to crush you,
molding you so close to me.
Often times, I try to keep my distance
so you will always be free.

But this awful truth won't let my heart
be, as the whims of fate unlock the words
to you I long to say.

Still onward and deeper I go, in heart and
soul. And this I will always know for all
the rest of my days, one look at you keeps
on taking my breath away.
