There must be more to life than this
At least we ought to try
To find some meaning which doesn't depend
On the amount of money you're able to spend
Which you probably haven't earned yet anyway
There must be more to life than this
I've been thinking it for years
The eating, the drinking, the loving, the living
The buying, the selling, the taking and giving
It's enough to drive anyone to tears
There must be more to life than this
I wish I believed in God
Then perhaps some comfort would come from the teaching
The psalms and the prayers, the hymns and the preaching
But I'm afraid all that still seems quite odd
There must be more to this than life
Perhaps we find out when we die
That may mean four decades of misery and tears
Before I find the cure for my fears
So I think
I'll go now
Goodbye
Love is like Mumps.....the older you are when you catch it....the worse it feels
