Rescue Oh, in what far off land did I reside? In what sort of nightmare was I occupied? Rescued, was it where I least liked to hide? How long did you struggle against this tide? I was deaf while I was wailing You were blind while I was failing Hopeless then, I felt like bailing You alone kept this ship sailing There was a corner to which I would retreat The same corner in which we would meet Shackles on my ankles, I felt the heat You alone released my feet Can you tell me where did I go? In what place was I tortured so? Being rescued, did I cry 'no'? How hard did you have to row? |

I like! This poem really flows...I could easily see it as a song! |
