I will be the one to love you,
When you’re feeling bitter and sad,
I will be the one to love you,
When everyone thinks you’ve gone mad.

I will be the one to hold you,
When the world slaps you in the face,
I will be the one to hold you,
When you come last in the race.

I will be the one to kiss you,
When death’s last breath draws near,
I will be the one to kiss you,
When your only emotion is fear.

I will be the one to hug you,
When you can not see the light,
I will be the one to hug you,
When you lose the will to fight.
