Larry C and Sy were sailing high upon the sea. See, Sy and Larry C were high, not necessarily the sea. Six seamen sailing by saw Sy and C there on the sea beneath the sunlit sky were Sy and Larry C. ![]() "Hey, Sy", said Larry C, "now, why do you suppose they stared at you and me here on the sea when sailing by, good Sy? Pure curiosity?" said sighing Larry C to Sy there on the sparkling sea. "Beats me, friend C", said Sy as he looked high to see a seagull passing by high in the sky above the heads of Sy and Larry C there on the sea. ![]() The seagull, passing by, let fly a stream of pee that hit the eye of Sy, who screamed "Oh, my!! Oh, woe is me!" to Larry C there on the sea beneath the sizzling sky. Poor guy, our Sy, to suffer such calamity there on the sea with Larry C. Why try to sail the sea when he Can mystify (don't ask me how or why) both you and me with words of poetry, like Larry C? ![]() |

Alliterative humor--brings be back a day or two! My favorite was "Two skunks sat on a stump;one skunk said the stump stunk, the other skunk said the skunk stunk." Thanks for the late owl smile. Sadelite |

Phew, that's a tongue twister if I ever read one! Very clever stuff Balladeer! Now about the seagull, reminds me of a silly show I was watching, something along the lines of extreme weddings and cakes. The happy couple decides they are going to have one of those ten tiered cakes. So they start to cut into it and lo and behold there are a couple doves flying out of the top of it. Seems one of the doves had been cooped up inside that top tier just a little too long, only to hang his behind over the edge.... Kind of ruined it for the lower tiers. Don't ask why I got to telling this story, blame it on the seagull! ![]() |

I see Sy saw fit to sail the sea with ME! That's good company. And I have a cheer for 'Deer here as I hold him near and in high esteem, as high as the sky AND Sy in fact. ![]() Thanks dear friend. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

LOL, you made me smile Deer, as always ![]() We've tonguetwisters too, here's a Dutch one for you: Liesje leerde Lotje lopen in de lange Lindenlaan, maar ons Lotje wou niet lopen, dus liet Liesje Lotje staan. and an English one: Betty Botter had some butter, "But," she said, "this butter's bitter. If I bake this bitter butter, it would make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter-- that would make my batter better." So she bought a bit of butter, better than her bitter butter, and she baked it in her batter, and the batter was not bitter. So 'twas better Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter. LOL they're cute and so is your poem and clever too. Titia Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |
