standing on a shadow's lace

Cattail Candle


you are a marsh treat
appearing to float above
the darkness beneath me
shooting straight from earth
a tender waxen river candle
to touch in passions kindle
truly I melt in your desire
secure in your undoing
where you echo my fire


just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart
