If She Was Close

When I went away from my sweetheart,
I thought that I would miss her,
but I didn't miss her, I only missed
her lips, and her sweet kiss, and the
soft words of love she says to me that
always touch my heart, those words I
love to hear when together or far apart.

"The last time we met, she said
the next time we meet, she wants
to see a big smile on my face."

Wish we were close right now, so
close that she could see my smile.
