hidden in your silent eyes
as I wander off...
through the depths of emptiness

sometimes we just know
don't we?

by the empty bench
where we shared
those first impressions
2 pidgeons promenade
drinking in the remnants
of a red merlot sun
that once broke the
ice and warmed the awkwardness
of the then 2 strangers
