It will not be
the coming snow
that weakens her,
lighting softly upon
lashes which flutter
like oriental fans-
dragon's tails.
Nor will it be
winter's winds
whipping her
braided hair loose-
black tinsel.
Or the frigid
temperature that
causes recoil of
delicate hands-
almond salved,
into empty coat
pockets.
No, her wane of
strength
will be caused
by lack of sun-
December's folly.
So she will sit
naked-
diamond in the
rough
face turned upward
beseeching the
moon-
opal globe
To share it's
radiance-
gold dust resin,
with this soul-
empty shadow,
whose mate
was kidnapped-
adoring abduction,
by the long lit
days of
summer.
