The Ghosts Over the carnage, over the twisted, fiery wreckage, and the ceaseless toil of rescue workers, the ghosts of Churchill and Longfellow to the people of Great Britain speak: Sail on, o ship of state. Sail on, o Union strong and great. Humanity, with all its tears, with all its hopes for future years, is hanging, breathless, on thy fate. |
