Linda, I'm so happy you're in the game! I haven't been participating on Piptalk as much this summer, but when I finally got on line yesterday, I didn't see any of your poems. Shucks! I always look forward to your treats-helps sets my attitude for the day! The last poem I read of yours included your wonderfully artistic painting of a woman on an old fashion sewing machine, such as the one I have in the basement--sewing machine, that is! The old woman is "upstairs tapping on the keyboard!" (I suppose old is in the frame of mind! Last week I felt young. Not this weeK! Time for a swim, time to refresh! Your poem is just the beginning of refreshment!) Thank you SOOOO much! cathty (can you believe I misspelled my name? That too is kind of refreshing! I don't think I'll change it! Change of pace is nice once in a while! |

cathty ~  You have such a delightful spirit ~ even when the flame is not at its fullest and brightest! That watercolour of mine that you mentioned, "The Seamstress", has special meaning for me. I painted it during one of the most painful times in my life and my tears literally are soaked into the paper. I could have sold that painting many times over, but I keep it to remind me that no matter how painful life can be at times, there are always brighter days ahead. Linda, Do you realize that we were talking about "sewing"? Of course, you do! Now, let's have a little fun with your title. When All Seams Lost... This sounds like a day when my soing "tension" is a little tight, or loose! Can you imagine a garment with no seems? Hm... might be rather "interesting"! Just being silly, with maybe a little food for thought. Gee, now that I think about food, where is breakfast? Hm... I send you two feelings. Smooth, warm; Try them on for fit if you wish. Hopefully, I have the tension adjusted on the soing machine a little better now. a crazy respondent, with love, cathte |
