5314 Who Art Thou, Alisa 19 April 2006 Alisa, who art though a loving beauty in eyes seen Her heart a beating tender as unto a softness to hold Her truth, a struggle to endure this respect she does in trust honour Alas your beauty was illumination a light of yonder path await Hidden beyond a mirrored gateway trapped unto fish gathered within a net Each cord a strong thread much like an everlasting tapestry woven Eternity, a friendship united nothing could tear that watery grin Alas unto Alisa, heaven your essence not to know, was to be unknown for ever “Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.” Genesis 29:17 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
