Long, Long Ago

Where was heart
this love of yesterday
Long, long ago
a time before time

Even time having being
a period of relationship borne
This element of sensation
a sundial to prosper shade

Of a wave in spirit
captured and focused on earth
Children of a pre-existent world
not a void as such, but nothing to save

Where was love, did that also come as intervention
this reason to adore another, like a rose on valentine
Long, long ago, and a time before that arose
this love of two souls found and
reunited for an eternity to come
