The Love of Carolyn

For the love of Carolyn
her beauty to endure
Every day in thought pure

Divided at birth
kept in a world, half a part
Then some day to find that time

A moment captured
after all that was lost
Yesterday’s emptiness
a fullness of tomorrows to come

Or was this a love to question
a love to ponder in thought of dream
As to who decided, what love could decide

For the love of Carolyn
her beauty to endure
Every day in thought pure
