542 That Moment Before Time 15 April 2000 When I looked into her eyes my body began to shiver Such a coldness not felt but a warmth instead Deep in our past was a life that meant the first was not the last Far away before time we had been close before with a richness beyond being poor Now time had encountered our presence Tomorrow would never be the same in residence Life had taken care of that “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die;” Ecclesiastes 3: 1-2 KJV © 2006 Christopher W Herbert (a New Zealand Poet) a poet who cares |
