I Hope This Reaches You

With a few lines written
Where do I go from here
Each time I think of you
I have paused with a tear

How could I phrase this
Which way should I start
I hope that I can convey
Feelings inside my heart

A letter from me to you
I had not written the end
When I express openly
It is heart sincerity I send

I do try to keep in touch
Loving affections I imply
I hope this reaches you
As I longed for your reply

Haven't we all sat with pen in hand, desperately wanting to write someone, yet groping for words to express deep feelings we hold? This says it so well.
