People awed in leafy passings a tree has fallen consumed from within it once stood tall gave its shade then snapped on an August day Twitch of a twig break of a branch snap of sinews limbs raised then in leafy passings what once stood is collected woody mass unprotected snap in the wind a day has come when crowns dip to duck ponds what are ones chances to witness a tree crack? so others mature inexorably reach great heights towards summer cracks or winter snaps |
