I’m sure I got close
But should I go any farther
I love her as a friend
But could I love her as something else

Do I want to venture onward
My next step could destroy the foundation
Or could be the catalyst for something beautiful
As I stand here alone I contemplate my move

They say the grass is always greener on the other side
But at the moment I don’t know which side I’d prefer
If I choose to move forward I will gamble with our hearts
But if I regress I will surely regret
