The summer grass Is green along the lake The sky is a pale blue Reflecting colors A few white clouds In still water In silence The sun’s light Moves among the trees As if a woman walking In passing shadows Flights of sparrows Wing their way To reap green fields From wooden eaves A cardinal sings . |
