I was sitting at my desk tonight- It seems my thoughts took wings, And flew back down the path I chose… And showed me many things. Things I took for granted, That now so precious seem- To when I was a youngster- And had just begun to dream. A dreamer? Yes, I must admit- I’ve been one all my life. Poor parent to my children- Poor husband to my wife. My mind entranced by fantasies- That never could be real… But knowing that, changed not a thing Nor helped the way I feel. There is still in me a wanderlust- Desire to search for gold- And prowl the Rocky majesties- Although I am too old. I guess that’s just the way I am- I cannot tell you why- But the day that I no longer dream… Will be the day I die. |

John...I to am a bit of a dreamer. Searching for things just out of reach or sight. That's what keeps me going, to one day just have one search or dream come true. Enjoyed...Paul ~~To share my poems with you is to share my heart with you~~ |
