Alone is simply not that bad- Some of us do thrive… Within our isolation, We truly come alive. Alone means I don’t have to please A soul except my self- I can store my social graces- Safely on a shelf. Alone and I can skip a shave- Grooming is for others- To please their eyes aesthetically- And our own freedom smothers. Alone brings conversations Quite pleasing to my ear- Since mine is all the voice, my friend I need or want to hear. Alone in lovely silence- Alone in peaceful bliss- What fool would trade the raucous crowd- For silence such as this? |

Not many can embrace the silence. For those who can, they at least have the comfort of knowing it never lies. |
