They want to climb out of their window
And break out their shell.
Their way of mind has been oppressed.
They want to crawl back out of hell.
So many fear of what will come
If the mute one's are heard.
Fear how the rest will react to
The freeing of a caged bird.

It's a sickness plaguing souls,
Leading them to believe the untold.
Takes their peace and leaves them cold
But in these trying times, they will not fold.

I liked this, Nights! Free the bird and let the mute one be heard. Everyone should be able to speak and live and feel free!

I think that it's a really good poem. It is obviously something that you feel very strongly about. To me, those are the best. Hope to see more af your work.

Very interesting poem. It reminds me of something I wrote when I was not able to share my feelings with this girl that had hurt me. In all great poem.
