There Will Be A Party I'm planning now, and inviting you but your invitation won't be sent for awhile so keep this close, it's just for you and know it was sent with a smile… I'm making plans, for earthbound I'm not and I'm soon going to fly straight home but to send me off, would you please leave a postcard if you've gone to Rome? I'd like for you to show up, stay while for when my party comes it will be held in N'Orleans style and you can dance and sing or hum… for it shall be a grand event no crying out loud, shame on you! but cry for us and our happiness 'cause we've all been given great clues! For there is life out there, out there in the hither and yon feel the energy and the light, in the greatest of all beyonds… and when you see the notice, in black and white newsprint come and join the party - you're even allowed to sprint! Just watch for the obits, folks...way on down the line...when they say "she wrote poetry, and she did it fine...she was a Passionate Poet, and blue pages were her sign..." that's when you know it's time for the party, come and give toast, and make it hearty...and send me on my journey well...I'll come back in another form, perhaps a muse, you can never tell... and thanks to all for reading...I'll make sure you all get special invites... I love it! Always told my kids when I go, don't sit around crying or spend time at my gravesite. Celebrate life by doing something to inspire, relieve or bring joy to someone else, instead. Thank you for posting this. |
