Have You Seen Me?

I had dark hair
my skin olive
and not fair
for I lived outdoors
in the sun...

I had bright eyes
that told the truth
and not lies
for I had the heart
of a child...

I had no band
to signify
on my hand
for I sought a bride
of my own...

I was the one seated in the middle.

I had strong hands
my touch gentle
as was planned
the slightest detail
of my life...

I had no beard
for mine was plucked
when men feared
that perhaps I was
as I said...

I had no clothes
for as I came
I arose
with all that I am
I love you.

I see Jesus, in the "middle" of the crowds here.

Of course depending upon the readers view, it's open to interpretation, but this is what I got out of it!

Great job!! Very catchy.

You're really branching out into some thought provoking poetry that's as welcomed as all your writings. I see Jesus in you and many poets on this forum. Thank you for sharing this piece.

Great work! Just remarkable! I really really am in love with the format, this was built marvelously! And the single line contrasting in there was just an amazing idea, and it stood out so well.
