Beyond Today Beyond today, the dark awaits. There are no doors or golden gates That part to show tomorrow, bared. We have to enter unprepared. Whatever might be there we must Still forge ahead with faith and trust And when tomorrow is today, We look around and sometimes say, It's not so bad. It could be worse And many times we will rehearse Within our minds, the things we'll do To make our future dreams come true. There are no maps or guarantees. What lies ahead may bless and please Or disappoint us mightily! No one can know what is to be, But like a star that sheds it's light Upon the bastion of the night, Our belief in God will see us through, As each tomorrow comes in view!
