Rambling Rose Ahhhhh, whimsical does nature behold the rambling Rose For she's the "Beast of Burden" wrapped up in silken clothes. Like fly caught in spider's web struggles with all its might, Her luscious beauty stuns you and holds your senses tight. A King filled with passionate thoughts picked the rambling Rose And took her as his bride for her beauty -- I suppose. But, Rose soon lost her splendor as she began to bloom And all the Kingdom suffered in dismal Rose perfume. The moral of this story is that you are a King, Although it may look pretty, sin is a dangerous thing, And your soul is a Kingdom of which there's plenty room So, don't let your Kingdom fill with dismal Rose perfume. -Lighthouse Bob |

Such a twist in this one! My hubby gave me a dozen roses on a hot summer day in our one room apt.(B 4 AC). Next day when I returned after work, the perfume was so overwhelming, I grew sick to my stomach and with tears, desposited them in the trash. Thus, I can relate partially. ![]() Rae |
