When the peace of the Lord surrounds me, I feel complete. When the love of the Lord envelopes me, I feel complete. When the joy of the Lord fills me, I feel complete. When the presence of the Lord overwhelms me, I feel complete. Why then: When the time comes for me to kneel before my Lord, Do I fail to worship him completely? PRAISE THE LORD OH MY SOUL, AND ALL THAT IS WITHIN ME PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME. |

Ruthie, We are sometimes stiff-necked and like rebelious children, it's not enough to know we are complete in the Lord, our hearts must follow this knowledge into humble submission. Thanks for sharing this contemplative prayer with us. Dennis :^) |

We are all too human aren't we Ruthie. I often wonder how he thinks of us at all in as little as we think of him sometimes, but that's what makes God, so great. A truly great prayer and thought. Sincerely, Rwood |

This is wonderful, and we all lose our grip at one time or another and it's at that time most of all that God's hand is the one that saves us from ourselves. Thanks for writing and sharing this poem. [This message has been edited by Lost Dreamer (edited 03-21-2000).] |

I like your poem here, Ruthie --it makes you think--is God the only one out of which we can expect full measure--and if we feel His completeness and yet fail to use and act upon it, are we really complete after all? I like the scriptuaral resolve that you give as a conclusion---David "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

I really like this poem it reminds me that it is easy to serve God in the mountaintop experiences yet harder to give him praise in our everyday mundane lives. The valleys we also tend to draw closer to him, or pull further away. We humans are so fickle, we rely too much on our emotions. As I said already I really like the message you have written here. Hope to see more of you poetry. |

I love this! I love how you've written this with a real stopper in the end. Makes you really stop and think! Excellent! |
