Forgive me if sometime of day
I must simply go away,
to a place less of din
a place I don't get lost within.

Less cacophony of sound
more whispers, less voices loud
a desparate poet's haven sweet
forgive me this solacious need.

Words that fall on deafened ears
lost sometimes in chaotic here
made necessary such a place
a gentle, listening quiet space.

I enjoyed your poem very much. It speaks to a need that many poets have.
