Our Crazy Mistakes

As we grow up,
We make the craziest mistakes in life.
What I don’t savvy is,
Why does it give adults such strife?
Weren’t they once teenagers?
Didn’t they ever have to face a heart’s desire?
Alright, a punishment is acceptable,
But suspending us on a wire
For a whole lifetime?
Well… that’s totally objectionable.
It’s not as if we did a jail sentence crime.
We have a whole adulthood to go through,
And to waste it on one little mistake
Just blocks us out for good.
Try to understand; it needs some time to bake,
Because we want this thing called “life”
To go on and become once more… freshly made.
